Overview
As NMT continues its trajectory of growth under new and dynamic leadership, we are
seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to strengthen our commercial team. This
is a pivotal role focused on driving new business and fostering long-term partnerships
across the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

that in the crane industry, technical expertise and commercial delivery go hand-in-hand.
The Role
This is not a typical sales position. You will be expected to talk technically and think
commercially. You will work closely with clients, site teams, and our internal operations
to develop lifting solutions that are practical, safe, and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify and secure new opportunities across core sectors
including construction and infrastructure.
Account Management: Nurture and expand existing client relationships through consistent value delivery.
Technical Solutions: Interpret complex client requirements to provide bespoke technical
lifting solutions.
Operational Liaison: Collaborate with Appointed Persons (APs) and operational teams
to ensure project feasibility.
Commercial Submissions: Prepare detailed quotations, professional proposals, and
comprehensive tender submissions.
Site Engagement: Conduct nationwide site visits and client meetings to support project
delivery from initial enquiry to completion.
Brand Representation: Represent NMT as a professional, forward-thinking, and safety-
conscious leader in the lifting industry.
What we are looking for
Industry Experience: A proven track record within crane hire, lifting operations, or a
closely related industrial sector.
Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of lifting equipment, site requirements,
and safety protocols (An AP ticket is highly desirable).
Commercial Acumen: A demonstrated ability to build relationships at every level—from
the site to the boardroom.
Communication: A confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Mobility: Self-motivated and comfortable with nationwide travel (Full UK Driving License
required).
